国際教育交流センターは、国際交流や国際教育?貢献活動を通じたグローバル人材の育成に取り組んでいます。

国際教育交流センター長メッセージ

The Center for International Education and Exchange (CIEE) was established in April 2020, and ever since has continued to strive for excellence is fostering student study programs, both in Japan and abroad. PUK has had an on-going relationship with several universities, including Montana State University Billings in Billings, Montana; Samyeong University in Seoul, Korea; and DeLasalle University CIESOL in Manilla, Philippines. Recently several other university relationships have taken root: Kasetsart University in Bangkok, Thailand, and most recently, Kainan University in Taoyuan, Taiwan. Through interactions such as these, students’ horizons have been broadened and many are continuing to further their interest in international relations.

Housed within the CIEE is the Global Lounge, where local and international students can gather to take advantage of study books, DVDs and Blue-rays in English, large tables for discussion, and large screen monitor with internet capabilities. The Global Lounge can oversee students’ transitions to studying abroad in smooth fashion; the staff has many years of experience in living abroad in many different capacities and therefore can elevate student motivation towards attaining global related goals.

Our aim is to offer specialized education and international cooperation in order to contribute to activities overseas that impact local regions here in Japan. In addition to helping prepare students to travel abroad, the CIEE, along with the Global Lounge, offers one-stop support to our international students through extensive international support. The integration of international students’ networks here at PUK is hightened through our”Café Events,” where international students and various guests from abroad introduce their home country cultural aspects including festivals and food.We hightlight interactions of international students with PUK students through native language classes, and an international festival that connects PUK with local residents.

All in all, the CIEE and the Global Lounge provide a wonderful stepping-stone for students to experience life from other cultures and also gain impetus to further their ambitions with opportunities to study abroad. To this end it is hoped that PUK students will take advantage of the activities and events held within the Global Lounge to guide them along their way now and long into the future!

留学生との交流

短期語学研修団の受入れ

祥明大學校、モンタナ州立大学ビリングス校、カセサート大学等から語学学習と文化体験を目的とした研修団を受け入れています。

国際交流団体の受入れ

内閣府の事業や非営利活動法人等の国際交流団体を積極的に受け入れ、世界各国の学生との国際交流を行っています。

留学生との交流会

Global Loungeでは学生のみなさんに異文化理解や語学学習の機会を提供することを目的に留学生との交流や世界各国の紹介等をCafé Eventとして月に数回開催しています。その一環で、本学に在籍している留学生との交流会を開催しています。月ごとに対象国を決め、その国の出身留学生からの自国文化の紹介や、参加者からの質疑応答などを行っています。各国の文化に触れ、理解が深まるだけでなく、その後の留学生と日本人学生との交流の活性化にも繋がっています。
